Pindito Liveboard
the training boat for diving professionals in Indonesia
Enjoy 20% off on the featured Pindito’s dive cruise: Biodiversity & Whale Watching 2025. Pindito’s diving cruises began in Indonesia in 1992, when the Eastern part of the archipelago was devoid of any tourist facilities for thousands of kilometers and completely unknown to divers from around the world. Since then, Pindito has had the privilege of being the first liveaboard built and operated to uncover Indonesia’s Wild East, offering exploratory and adventurous cruises that can last for weeks. In fact, Pindito is considered the training boat for diving professionals in Indonesia, as the best dive guides often come from Pindito. Finally, the spirit of adventure that characterized its history is still present among the crew and owners, driving Pindito Liveaboard to continue exploring new underwater sites in Indonesia.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
In 2017, Pindito underwent renovation, transforming the Phinisi dive boat into a luxury liveaboard with modern amenities. Pindito has 6 double and 2 twin cabins. All cabins feature individual climate control and en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold water, a shower, toilet, and vanity. The doubles can be used as singles by adding a top bunk to create a third bed, and accommodate a family with a child or two people who just want an extra surface to store their equipment. The lounge can comfortably accommodate 16 passengers, who also have the alternative of the large sundeck for relaxing hours.
The large dive deck at the bow features storage for gear and personal belongings, rinse tanks, and a camera room with spacious workstations and numerous electric outlets in the charging station, amenities that make Pindito a favorite among professional underwater photographers and videographers. Diving is managed from 3 zodiacs; 3-day dives plus 1 night, according to the itinerary on board.
LIVEABOARD DESTINATIONS
Pindito dive cruises take place in all the regions of Eastern Indonesia: Komodo, Alor Strait, Ring of Fire, Banda Sea, Forgotten Islands, Raja Ampat, and Triton Bay in search of new diving destinations.
Pindito dedicates some cruises to the study of cetaceans, always present in Indonesian waters. During the months of the humpback whale migration, the boat follows their main route, seeking interaction with large mammals. The day during these cruises includes two dives in the morning, while the afternoon is dedicated to searching for cetaceans, or vice versa.
