Angel Island has been the first resort established with the purpose to facilitate recreational activities in Komodo National Park and that is proud to have been conceived and built as a true eco friendly resort, a place for relaxation with comfortable accommodation in peaceful and natural setting for snorkelers or guests who like contemplate the wild.
Angel Island is a resort private island located in Bidadari in front of Labuanbajo, Flores, at the edge of Komodo National Park. The resort’s set up has reached as little negative impact to the island itself, the villas are not in front of the sea, but no more than 1 minute walking from the beach, in wild gardens of hibiscus original from the island. To protect the local flora and fauna have been planted more endemic trees and plants in order to encourage the continued healthy habitat for birds, butterflies and insects. And to protect the reefs have been secured the local government license to protect the reefs and beaches of Angel Island against destructive fishing practices, reef gleaning, capturing of local wild birds.
2. ACCOMMODATIONS AND FACILITIES
Angel Island Eco Resort offers 10 private villas double/twin/triple, 2 white sandy beaches, both private and 1 with sun loungers. Snorkeling is available directly from the beach on the house reef. All the villas have A/C, hot & cold shower, garden cool water shower, mini bar, espresso machine, tea/coffee/cold water making facilities, mini safe, Tv+media player, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer, beach towels, laundry service, evening turn down service and private patio with sun-loungers.
The beach restaurant has wonderful views of the ocean. The menu offers a variety of wholesome Indonesian, European and vegetarian dishes. The bar serve delicious fresh fruit juices and have a small selection of wines and spirits.

5. HOW TO GET THERE
Angel Island Eco Resort is located on Pulau Bidadari, a small island lying in front Labuanbajo to the west of Flores, in East Nusa Tenggara. Guests regularly enter Komodo region by Labuanbajo Airport, which is connected with the international airports of Jakarta (JKT) and Denpasar (DPS). We recommend all guests arrive the evening before the start of your stay at Angel Island Resort. The resort staff will meet you at Labuanbajo Airport for a swift transfer of 10 minutes by car to the harbor and 30 minute by fast boat to the island. We offer our costumers the complimentary transit night and airport transfers. On request we can arrange your domestic flights in Indonesia. 6. BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

Kalimaya Dive Resort in East Sumbawa Island offers muck, reef and drift diving opportunities just a short ride away from Komodo National Park, and is the only dive operator providing diving day trips to West Komodo, Gili Banta, and Sangeang Volcano, so their fortunate guests can expect diving away from the crowd of divers/snorkelers that visit Labuanbajo in day trip.
We have 2 different room types, Beach front bungalow or Hill side bungalow. Each room sleeps 2 x guests in 1 x queen bed or 2 x twin beds with en-suite open air bathroom, air conditioning, private balcony, and beach front access.
Please note, our rooms are sharing rooms. If you are a single traveler alone and would like to not share a twin room with another guest, then a 60% single supplement surcharge will apply. We encourage you to not be dissuaded by sharing a room as the rooms are large enough to share and the experience is as the same as sharing a room on a liveaboard.
Wifi is currently not available at Kalimaya Dive Resort. It is possible to use a local sim card to have phone signal and sometimes internet connection in some areas of the Resort. Please note that even this way, the internet connection is not very reliable. With the world being so busy and connected these days, we hope you can use the time at Kalimaya Dive Resort to enjoy a digital detox.
Only a boat ride away from the treasures of the Komodo National Park, Kalimaya Dive Resort offers day trip diving to West Komodo, Gili Banta, and Sangeang Volcano. Twin this with our macro filled house reef with macro life, and a nearby Manta Ray cleaning station, Kalimaya Dive Resort offers an excellent array of options for the new and seasoned diver.
What we, and we hope you, find very exciting is that we are the only dive resort / dive centre operating in this area, and as such 60% of the dive sites presented below have been found by us, and named by us. Many of the larger liveaboard companies have asked for our dive site co-ordinates – but guess what, they aren’t going to get them anytime soon. Our guests have the luxury of 99% of the time being the only dive boat on the site in its purest form!

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
The balance of the total fare (75%) is required 30 days prior to guests arrival.
Cancellation policy
Although we would love to see you at Kalimaya Dive Resort, we understand that plans can change. Should you need to cancel your booking, we ask that you notify us at your earliest convenience. All cancellations must be received in writing. The refund or cancellation charges that will be payable depending on the amount of notice you give us, as per the below:
120 days – 70 days = 10% cancellation charge
69 – 31 days = 25% cancellation charge (deposit)
30 – 20 days = 50% cancellation charge
19 – 0 days = 100% of total fare
Any refunds outside of our terms will be subject to a claim on your Insurance Company and we are happy to write you a letter, which you can give to your insurer as proof of your loss, though we cannot be held accountable if your claim is rejected for whatever reason.
Kalimaya Dive Resort is not responsible for any charges caused by the transfer process in the event of a refund and if there is any alteration of exchange rate.
Located in East Sumbawa -which is to the East of Bali and Lombok and to the immediate west of Komodo National Park and Flores Island- getting to Kalimaya Dive Resort is surprisingly easy. Kalimaya Dive Resort is located only 20km north of the Sape ferry terminal for guests arriving by PELNI ferry from Labuan Bajo. Bima Airport (Airport code BMU) also caters to flights from Bali Denpasar (DPS) within 60 minutes, Lombok (LOP) within 50 minutes, and Makassar. Sunset Restaurant, the Culinary Experience at Komodo Resort
The “Sunset Restaurant” is a sensorial experience, its outdoor bamboo structure is located on the beach to offer you one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Indian Ocean while you delight yourself with Italian and local dishes, prepared with great care by an Italian and an Indonesian chef, respectively. Breakfast is American style, lunch and dinner are served 3 meals including a selection of desserts. The menu is based mainly on seafood and fresh homemade pasta, but also salads, chicken, delicious appetizers and desserts catering for a choice always different. The resto of Komodo Resort is also a good opportunity to try exotic Indonesian cuisine.
Superlative Diving & Snorkeling with Komodo Resort
Diving with Komodo Resort is superlative, management and staff keep a very professional attitude, and are always keen to tailor services to suit each guest’s need. In other way, the diving experience is great in Komodo, both for great fish action and macro. Sometimes whales are sighted just in front the resort, and the rare dugong also appears to the more lucky divers. Mantas are one of the most thrilling experiences, even for snorkelers.
The daily dive-trips are operated with two strong wooden boats of 13 and 14,5 meters of length, built for diving purposes, with a stern platform and a total transport capacity of 25 divers, the cruising speed is 9 knots. The diving centre owns 25 brand new full equipment Mares and 100 aluminium 12 liter tanks. Finally but not least, now there is a hyperbaric oxygen chamber in near Komodo National Park, in Siloam Hospital at Labuanbajo, so if were needed, divers do not need be evacuated by air ambulance to Bali.
3. RESORT ACTIVITIES
Komodo is famous for its world-class diving, but it is not just for divers. Snorkeling in Komodo will take you some of the most incredible spots that words can’t describe. Because Komodo resort is placed right bordering the Komodo National Park, we easily reach any of the popular Komodo diving sites and snorkeling spots.
Diving Trips to Komodo National Park
Dives are done from a motor boat and guided by our dive masters or dive instructors. Our typical dive schedule starts at 08:00 and consist of a two tank dives and back at the resort for lunch. Afternoon dives usually starts at 14:30 and we also organize night dives on request which usually take place at 18:00. When the conditions are favorable we are also able to organize full day trips which are further away (approximately around 1 hour and 30 minutes) and consist of 3 dives with a lunch box served on board. Our spacious double-decked wooden boats are well equipped with the standard necessary safety equipment’s, marine toilets, large sun deck and bean bags to relax in during the surface intervals.
Snorkeling Trip to Komodo National Park
Snorkelers are always accompanied by a motor boat, and upon request by a professional snorkeling guide. The Komodo snorkeling trips typically start in the morning at approximately 8AM with a planned return for lunch at the resort at approximately 1PM. During the snorkeling trips we visit 2 to maximum 3 spots.

5. HOW TO GET THERE
The easiest way to access the Komodo Resort is by flying into Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores from Jakarta or Bali. Our staff will pick you at Labuanbajo airport and drive you to the Labuanbajo harbour where our private boat take you to our resort in Sebayur Island. These two-way airport transfer to resort are complimentary, but we strongly advise you to schedule flights arriving Labuan Bajo no later than 12:00PM. 6. BEST TIME TO TRAVEL
The weather conditions in the Komodo archipelago are good all year round except in between the months of January and February as it’s the peak of monsoon season (The Resort usually close from mid-January till mid-February for renovations and other maintenance works). Light to medium rain can be expected from December to March, while the driest season and hottest time of the year will be from April till November.
