Alor Strait is virtually the house reef for Alor Divers Eco Resort, one of the most interesting Indonesia's scuba diving destinations. Situated on a long sandy beach on Pantar Island, Alor Divers Eco Resort has managed to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the place, taking special care to integrate the resort into its natural surroundings. 1. WHY ALOR DIVERS RESORT
The working team of Alor Divers Eco Resort is compound by western management and friendly local staff from the nearby villages, all experts of the dive sites of Alor Strait and all committed to ensure you with a memorable stay. Alor, recently uncovered by underwater photographers, you can expect great vertical walls with of every kind of sponges, sea fans, and soft corals crowed of school of tuna, jackfish, barracuda and countless colorful barrier fish. The dives are conducted at the sites located on the Strait of Alor, from a short boat ride of the resort. You can also find good snorkeling on the house reef, where the dives are limitless.

The 8 guest accommodations are all beach bungalows built in traditional Indonesian style and have spacious private terraces for an impressive view of the Alor Sea and the spectacular Pantar Strait.
Standard Bungalows
The 36sqm thatched roof standard bungalows have an interior equipment and décor designed with simplicity to preserve the pristine spirit of the place. The wooden construction enables the see breeze to bring the natural aeration and freshness indoors and occasionally the nights can get even surprisingly cold, so there is no need for air-conditioning.
The Deluxe Bungalow
The 66sqm Deluxe Bungalow is sited in the very intimate end of the resorts’ location, and offers not only a space for ultimate relaxation but as well a feeling of luxury that some of our guests are looking for. The bedroom is 32m2, with a King size bed 180×200 and sea front glass wall with sliding doors, for sea view from the bed. The spacious bathroom is 14m2 with half opened back wall and separate entrance from outdoors. The 20m2 wooden deck terrace has 2 comfortable lounge benches (100 x 180) and a round garden table with 2 chairs. This accommodation has Wi Fi and great storage for your diving gear.
Resort Facilities
The restaurant of Alor Divers Eco Resort also works as relaxing area that provides facilities for different daily activities. It is a place that, apart from the dining area, also embraces a library and a computer corner as well as a comfortable lounge. Three main meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as buffet or family style. Complementary tea and coffee always are available and in the afternoon we offer a selection of sweet or savory snacks.
Alor Divers Eco Resort offers a variety of healthy meals using fresh products from the local market and fresh fish catch from local fishermen. The meals are a carefully chosen by fusion Asia and International dishes. Alor Divers Eco Resort is able to accommodate special diet needs if given an adequate advance notice - just let us know in advance when booking-.
Scuba Diving & Snorekeling Facilities
The dive center offers plenty of space to safely store dive gear and underwater photography equipment, a spacious camera work station with 220V charging outlets, camera rinse and charging stations, as well as well maintained rental equipment, nitrox, and custom dive boats.
Alor Divers guarantees a personal service, serving only 16 divers divided into 2 small groups of divers on each dive boat and only one boat per dive site. Alor Divers is famous for macro photography and the expertise of the staff is affably shared with the diving guests, who will surely feel very comfortable diving in currents, which are proverbial in Alor, but well known to the Alor Divers staff who prepare their guests with detailed dive plans and briefings.
Alor Divers offers two guided boat dives each day at the best sites in Alor, usually only 30 minutes away by boat. Guests can also dive the house reef from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with or without a guide. For those who practice snorkeling the house reef is considered one of the best places to dive in the region of Alor.
3. RESORT ACTIVITIES
Scuba diving, underwater photography and snorkeling are the main activities at the resort since reefs of Alor Strait are some of the most conserved marine systems in Indonesia. You can expect prolific coral growth and an amazing color palette, huge sponges, and large concentrations of sea anemones. Diving in Alor is also known for the great variety of reef fish and macro: frogfish, leaf scorpion fish, pygmy seahorses, eels, sea snakes, and nudibranchs.

5. HOW TO GET THERE
Alor Divers Eco Resort is located on Pantar, an island of Alor Archipelago, in East Nusa Tenggara which is connected with the international airports of Jakarta (JKT), Denpasar (DPS), and Surabaya (SUB). Guest travelling to Alor normally will make a transit night prior to travelling onwards. We offer our costumers the complimentary transit night and airport transfers. 6. BEST SEASON TO TRAVEL
The climate of Alor is particularly pleasant. From early April to late October the weather is fairly dry and the nights are often surprisingly cold, therefore acclimatization is less harsh than one might imagine. The diving is possible all year round but the resort is not operating from 7th of Jan to 1st of March -maintenance and staff holidays- during the raining season pick.
